It's a challenge to find a quality wooden spoon. Most of them are cheap, flat pieces of wood. Well, this spoon is the best one I have ever used. It exceeded all of my expectations and we use it all the time. It's perfect for cooking and for serving. It actually is shaped like a spoon so you can scoop things with it in addition to using it for stirring. It's gentle on my cookware and cleans up beautifully.
