This has been (almost) the most-used kitchen device we've ever had, much better than our gas grill.
Almost as good as the real thing! (2010-05-20)
As avid grillers who relocated to Manhattan last year, we have sorely missed having a gas grill. After several attempts to grill on our Griddler, we gave up...great for paninis but pretty weak in providing a true grill experience. So we decided to try a Grill Pan, which almost immediately took the #1 spot in our kitchen. We have made steaks on it, grilled veggies (especially good w/asparagus and onions), salmon, chicken, shrimp - all with great results! Super easy to clean (not sure why others have complained)-dab a little olive oil on it with a paper towel prior to heating it up (instructions explicitly recommend avoiding Pam and other cooking sprays) - let it completely cool down after cooking and it cleans up quickly and thoroughly. We love it!
Best Utensil in the kitchen (2010-04-23)
Wish I'd had one of these for years! We cook out a LOT but this particular winter was colder, wetter and so much more windy that others that we were forced inside....even in our island climate. As we're seniors, I found "cooking for two" was a snap, it cleans like a dream and is healthy to boot! We use it for everything...at least 3 times a week. It's a keeper.

great product. wouldn't use anything else to make a steak in the winter. Of course bbq in the summer.
