Our Favorite Pot (2009-11-01)
This little saucepan has turned into the workhorse in our kitchen. We don't have a microwave (by choice) and use the stovetop for pretty much everything including reheating. This is the perfect pan to heat up leftovers or even make two servings of oatmeal in the morning. Cleans up easily and I expect it to last forever.
Like others have said, this does not include a lid and is the reason for a 1-star deduction. Has anyone found a lid that fits?
Exceptional quality, perfect small size, no cover. (2009-10-15)
I purchased a Calphalon tri-ply cookware set about 5 years ago and love the construction, weight, quality, and durability. The handles are easy to hold, do not get hot, and feel natural to grip. They cook evenly with professional results. I have purchased many additional open stock pieces, and this is by far my favorite. The 2.5 qt is probably my most used piece, but this little 1 qt is perfect for small meals for one. My only complaint about this is that it did not come with the lid.
Great little saucepan. (2009-06-08)
This pan replaced an old porcelain-over-cast iron pan that was a favorite for reductions, a bowl of oatmeal, melting butter, etc. The triple layer construction, with the heat-spreading aluminum core going up inside the sides of the pan gives very even heating and nice heat retention. The handle stays cool, as advertised. I'd prefer a pot without rivets inside, but they're tight and easy to clean around. It's hefty and well balanced. Beautifully made, reasonably priced.
One of most used pan in the house (2009-02-16)
1 quart is indeed small. The size is for one serving.
I use this pan a lot. Nothing fancy like copper, but a little workforce in my kitchen.
